* If you own a new car, make sure the area you want to place the magnet is metal and not plastic or fiberglass. Older model cars may have had body work. Magnets will not stick to body fill. If you vehicle is one of these, you may want to consider direct-to-paint application. *When not in use, magnets should be sticking to a metal surface such as a file cabinet or fridge. NEVER place them near computer equipment, watches or cds of any kind. *Make sure both surfaces are clean. Don't drag to position. Pick up, re-position and then re-place to the vehicle. *High speeds, winds, rains and water levels could make your magnets airborne. So can carwashes. It's best to remove them during these times. *Take the magnets off the vehicle every now and then, especially if the vehicle sits in direct sunlight for long periods of time. When re-placing them, don't put them back in the exact same spot. *Never roll magnets to store. *Don't have untrimmed edges on the magnets. This could result in losing it during traveling. |
